A specialized breast-lift approach that combines precise reshaping with
additional internal support to create a lifted, supported and naturally
proportioned breast.

A breast lift, or mastopexy, reshapes and elevates the breast by removing excess skin, repositioning the breast tissue, and lifting the nipple and areola to a more youthful position.
With my Internal Bra Technique, I use an additional internal support strategy to help maintain the newly lifted and reshaped breast. Rather than relying entirely on the skin envelope to support the breast over time, the breast tissue is carefully structured and supported from within.
The internal support can be created using the patient’s own breast tissue, surgical mesh, or a combination of techniques, depending on the individual case.
The goal is to create a breast that is not only lifted, but also well-shaped, supported and proportionate to the patient’s body.
An internal bra is not a single standardized technique. Every breast is different, and the appropriate method depends on the quality of the skin, amount and distribution of breast tissue, degree of sagging, previous surgery and the desired aesthetic result.
The internal bra technique can be particularly useful for women who have experienced significant changes in their breasts following pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss or aging.
It may be considered when there is:
During your consultation, I will carefully assess your breast tissue, skin quality, breast width, nipple position, degree of ptosis, symmetry and aesthetic goals.
Based on your anatomy, I will determine whether an internal support technique is appropriate, and which method will provide the best foundation for your result.
There is no one technique that is right for every patient.
The term “internal bra” describes an internal support structure created during breast surgery to help support the reshaped breast tissue.
Depending on your anatomy and the quality and quantity of your breast tissue, I may use your own tissue as an internal support, a surgical mesh, or a combination of techniques.
When your own breast tissue is suitable, it can be strategically reshaped and secured to create additional internal support.
In other cases, a surgical mesh may be selected to provide additional structural reinforcement.
The choice is made during surgical planning based on your individual anatomy rather than using the same material or technique for every patient.
The purpose is to support the newly shaped breast from within and reduce the amount of reliance on the skin envelope alone.
It is important to understand that an internal bra does not stop the natural effects of aging, gravity, pregnancy or future changes in weight. It is an additional surgical strategy intended to optimize breast shape and support over time.
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia.
I begin by carefully planning the breast-lift pattern according to your anatomy and the amount of correction required. Excess skin is removed, the breast tissue is reshaped and repositioned, and the nipple and areola are elevated and resized when necessary.
Once the desired breast shape has been created, the internal support is constructed using the technique selected for you.
This may involve strategic use of your own breast tissue, surgical mesh, or both.
The breast is then carefully closed with meticulous attention to the shape, symmetry and quality of the final scar.
When appropriate, an internal bra can also be combined with breast implants, fat transfer or breast augmentation with lift to achieve the desired volume and contour.
Following surgery, it is normal to experience swelling, tightness and some soreness in the breast area. These symptoms gradually improve as the tissues heal.
You will be given a supportive postoperative bra and detailed instructions regarding wound care, sleeping position, arm movement and activity.
Most patients can gradually return to their normal daily activities within the first weeks, while strenuous exercise and activities that place significant stress on the breasts should be avoided until you are cleared to resume them.
The breast will continue to settle and soften over the following months. The final shape becomes increasingly apparent as swelling resolves and the tissues adapt to their new position.
Scars are an unavoidable part of a breast lift, but I place great emphasis on precise incision planning and meticulous closure to achieve the best possible scar. Scar care will begin at the appropriate stage of healing and will be discussed with you in detail.
The goal of the procedure is not simply to make the breasts higher. It is to create a beautifully shaped, supported and proportionate breast that fits your body and your aesthetic goals.
